Every child has the right to access quality public education in their local community. Our school welcomes enrolments throughout the school year. Please contact us if you would like to come along to meet the Principal and have a tour of the school. Our friendly office staff are happy to help to answer any questions about the enrolment process.

How to enrol
Step 1: Use School Finder to confirm if your address is within our local intake area.
Step 2: If you live in our local intake area and would like to apply to enrol at our school, complete an online enrolment application.
Step 3: For more information, visit primary school enrolment.
Step 4: Once your enrolment form is complete, our office staff will contact you to welcome you to our school. Remember, our office staff are here to help, so please contact us if you have any questions, big or small!

Transition to school
Uki Public School offers an extensive transition program for children coming into Kindergarten which ensures that our little ones feel confident and comfortable when starting ‘big school’.
· Pre-school children come to school one day per week for 6 weeks in early Term 4 of the year before they start
· Transition days are held in the Kindergarten classroom with the Kindergarten teacher
· Children are allocated an older student who is their ‘buddy’ during transition and as they start school
· Parents / carers are invited to meetings with the Kindergarten teacher so they can learn more and ask questions about the classroom culture and routines
· We invite parents / carers to information sessions with the Principal and school office staff, so that you can ask questions and learn the school procedures
In addition to our transition program, Uki Public School invites pre-schoolers to many events throughout the year, such as the Easter Hat Parade, music performances and The Teddy Bears’ Picnic.
Whether or not your child attends a pre-school, you are very welcome to come along to all our events.
